What is the GDPR?
The GDPR is the General Data Protection Regulation. It strengthens the protection of personal data within the European Union.
It harmonises the rules in Europe by giving professionals a single legal framework. It allows them to develop their digital activities in the European Union on the basis of user trust.
This regulation entered into force in May 2016 and has applied since 25 May 2018.
The GDPR changes how companies manage personal data. It replaces the former obligation to file a declaration with the CNIL with an obligation to demonstrate to this authority that you comply with GDPR requirements.
The personal data that may be collected on diex-international.com (hereafter “the Site”) are as follows:
Information from third parties. Some of your data (in particular your first name, last name and telephone and/or postal details) may have been shared with us, with your prior consent, by our partners. In that case, the processing of your data is governed by these terms.
Contact. When you fill in the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, title, telephone number, email address and your message.
Cookies. Cookies are used, as part of the use of the Site, to collect certain information (in particular your IP address, information about the computer used for browsing, the connection mode, the type and version of the internet browser, the operating system and other technical identifiers, or the URL of connections, including the date and time, as well as the content accessed). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
Your personal data is used mainly for the following purposes:
- Access to and use of the site
- Prevention of fraud, abuse, viruses and other malware
- Managing our relationship with you, including the processing of your orders
When certain information is required to access specific features of the Site, this mandatory nature is indicated when the data is entered. If you refuse to provide mandatory information, you may not be able to access certain services, features or sections of the Site.
Retention period
Your personal information is kept for a period that shall not exceed three years, unless:
- You exercise, under the conditions set out below, one of the rights recognised by law
- A longer retention period is authorised or required by a legal or regulatory provision
During this period, the Site implements organisational, software, legal, technical and physical measures capable of ensuring the confidentiality and security of your personal data, so as to prevent their damage, deletion or access by unauthorised third parties.
Access to your data
Access to your personal data is strictly limited to the employees and agents of www.diex-international.com. However, the data collected may be shared with processors contractually responsible for carrying out the tasks necessary for the proper operation of the Site and its services, and for the proper management of the relationship with you, without you needing to give your authorisation. In the course of their services, these processors only have limited access to your data and have a contractual obligation to use them in accordance with applicable personal data protection law.
Apart from the cases set out above, www.diex-international.com undertakes not to sell, rent, assign or give third parties access to your data without your prior consent, unless required to do so for a legitimate reason (legal obligation, prevention of fraud or abuse, exercise of rights of defence, etc.).
Your rights
In accordance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions, in particular French law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended relating to information technology, files and freedoms, and European Regulation no. 2016/679/EU of 27 April 2016 (applicable as of 25 May 2018), you have the following rights:
- Exercise your right of access, to know the personal data concerning you
- Request an update of your data if it is inaccurate
- Request the portability or deletion of your data
- Request the restriction of the processing of your data
- Object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of your data
- Object to or withdraw your consent to the use, by our services, of your contact details for sending our newsletters, promotions and solicitations by email, SMS, telephone and post. This right remains valid whether the information concerning you was provided directly by you or by third-party partners to whom you communicated it (in that case, please use the unsubscribe links in our SMS or emails, or contact us as set out below)

For security reasons and to avoid any fraudulent request, this request must be accompanied by proof of identity. The proof of identity will be destroyed once the request has been processed.

Finally, we inform you of the existence of the “Bloctel” telephone solicitation opt-out list, on which you may register (https://www.bloctel.gouv.fr/).
Use of cookies
When you browse the Site, cookies are placed on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. A cookie is information deposited on your browsing device by the server of the visited Site. Some parts of the Site may therefore not work without the user’s acceptance of cookies.
The information collected in this way will only be used to monitor the volume, type and configuration of traffic using this site, to develop its design and layout, and for other administrative and planning purposes, and more generally to improve the service we offer you.
